Brainstorm (1983)

On June 16, 1993, BBC One broadcast the science fiction film Brainstorm, starring Christopher Walken and Natalie Wood (in her last role). It was directed by Douglas Trumbull (director of Silent Running, and provider of special photographic effects on 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Blade Runner), and also starred Louise Fletcher (Invaders from Mars, Star Trek – Deep Space Nine), Cliff Robertson, Alan Fudge (Capricorn One), and Bill Morey (Death Race 2000).

The movie was released in UK cinemas in December 1983. Its soundtrack was composed by James Horner (Battle Beyond the Stars, Star Trek, Krull, Cocoon, Aliens)

According to BBC Genome, the film was repeated in 1995, 1996, and 1997.
