Emerald Soup was a British children’s science fiction television series consisting of seven 25-minute episodes produced by Associated British Corporation for the ITV network. It aired weekly at 5.15pm from Saturday, November 9 to Saturday, December 21, 1963. It conflicted with the initial episodes of the BBC series Doctor Who, also broadcast on Saturdays, which started on November 23, 1963.

The series was set in a small rural community, where a group of local children discover a laboratory constructed in the vicinity that is conducting secret radiation tests. The children attempt to stop these tests before any damage can be done to the environment.

The series starred Janina Faye, who appeared in the 1962 film version of The Day of the Triffids, as “Jo Maxwell”, and Annette Andre as “Penny Dalton”.
